Dinner Ideas With Chicken and Teriyaki and Mushrooms
This dinner idea includes a tasty chicken teriyaki recipe, it is especially appealing if you like the oriental taste of food, of course, who doesn’t. This recipe takes about an hour to prepare. The expense is moderate.
Chicken Teriyaki and Mushroom Recipe for a quick dinner idea
1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
1 teaspoon flour
1/2 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
2 teaspoons olive oil
12 ounces fresh white mushrooms, sliced
1 1/2 cups shiitake mushrooms, sliced
l large red bell pepper, cored, seeded and thinly sliced
4 scallions, trimmed and chopped
4 garlic sprigs peeled and finely chopped
16 ounces chicken peeled from bone
6 Chinese cabbage or bok choy leaves cabbage
Combine the teriyaki sauce, flour, ginger and 1/2 cup water. Set aside.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add all mushrooms and cook, stirring, until mushrooms release liquid, about 5 minutes. Add bell pepper, scallion and garlic. Cook until mushroom liquid evaporates and garlic becomes fragrant about 3 minutes. Add chicken.
Stir teriyaki mixture and add to skillet. Cook, stirring frequently until sauce is slightly thickened, about 3 minutes.
Arrange cabbage leaves on 4 plates-roll meat mixture into cabbage rolls. Top with the mushroom-chicken mixture.
